What it’s like to work with Lee Poh Wah

HumanCentric — I bring 25+ years of leading and serving people into every coaching conversation, now with the discipline and skills to draw out your thinking rather than hand you mine.

Calm, present, and genuinely curious. I listen deeply and ask questions specific to you rather than reaching for a ready-made answer — without judgement or an agenda of my own. People tell me I’m easy to talk to, and that trust is where the real work begins.

My Coaching Philosophy

Heart. Head. Hands.
I believe people are already capable and whole. Development, to me, isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about creating the conditions for what’s already there to grow. I spent decades as an engineer and problem-solver, and my instinct was always to reach for the solution. What I practise now is remembering that the most important thing in the room is usually the person, not the problem. My role is to help you see clearly, think honestly, and act from what matters most to you.

Background

Serving others has been the thread running through every chapter of my life. I spent over 25 years in enterprise technology, leading teams across Asia Pacific — work that looked technical but was always, fundamentally, about people: how they adopt change, how they grow, how they lead. At a certain point I made a deliberate pivot into Learning and Organisational Development, because I wanted my work to be about developing people, not just deploying solutions. Today I lead L&OD at St. Andrew’s Autism Centre, grounded in a belief that every person deserves a life of dignity and genuine flourishing.
